Please pray with us…

Thrive’s ministry is dependent on the faithful prayers of those who lift us up to the Lord each week. Please check back each month for updated prayer requests.

October 2022 Prayer Requests:

For our students:

  • As they have new experiences at Thrive through field trips and guest electives, that they may be inspired to dream big and see what is possible in their lives.

  • In particular, the sophomore class that is facing challenges making wise decisions as a group. Pray for wisdom and strong leadership among their class.

  • And their continued health and well-being, both physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

  • As we have seen a strong group of consistent volunteers work with them, that they may be receptive to their guidance and wisdom.

  • That they would have consistent attendance and commit fully to stay in the Thrive program, and for our staff for discernment as they bring in new students to the Thrive program.

For our staff:

  • Specifically, one of our full-time staff members who is bringing in a senior student to her home as the students parents have left her in Knoxville without a home to finish high school.

  • As we recruit and work to retain interns who are fully committed to the Thrive program that they would be a consistent source of hope and guidance for the students.

  • As they have seen an increase in volunteers who are committed to work with students as the number of interns have decreased. The Lord has provided the staffing through volunteers that Thrive needs to operate a successful program.

  • And our answered prayer of the Lord providing an increase in male volunteers who have jumped in to help with Thrive programs.

For our families:

  • Particularly, the student whose dad passed away is back at Thrive and the students friends have welcomed him back with love, empathy and concern. Pray for the student's family during this difficult time.

  • As they work to communicate with Thrive staff, their child's schools and others when they have a very limited English vocabulary.

  • As they bring in new babies to their families that there would be a spirit of trust in Christ and not fear of what could happen.

  • Specifically, the guardian of three Thrive students who has Stage Three cancer and is unable to receive treatment due to her responsibilities of raising the kids.
